General needs housing

Housing for Women provides much-needed affordable homes for women and their families across London.

We own and manage over 920 homes across 11 London boroughs. The majority of these are general needs housing, providing social rent homes to women and their families across the capital.

Housing applicants must be referred to us by their local council or one of our approved referral agencies. While people cannot self-refer, increasingly new residents come to us from their local authority through choice-based lettings.

Women’s lower average incomes, additional caring responsibilities and greater experience of domestic abuse and sexual violence can have a significant impact on their ability to find and keep suitable housing.

We believe that housing is a women’s issue and that by providing quality, affordable homes for women we can help to create a truly more equal society.

We provide social housing across the following London Local Authorities:

Camden

Ealing

Greenwich

Hounslow

Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea

Lewisham

Southwark

Westminster City Council

Barnet
